What type of butterfly is this? Red & Black?

Hi, can anybody let me know what type of butterfly this is? It’s black with about 6 red spots on each wing, with a red tinge on the side of the wing. Found it in my garden, thanks for your help!

help! i found a black swallowtail butterfly and i think its dying! ANSWER SOON?

i found a caterpillar back in november in my parsley and it made a cocoon so i brought it inside and it came out yesterday but it was raining so i thought i would wait until early morning today. i brought it out and now it wont fly. its poised on an apple ( i thought cuz of the sugar) and i made this sugar and water solution to put on a sponge and now i cant find a sponge so i put in in a syringe with a thick opening and dropped a couple of droplets on the butterflies tongue but i havent been very sucessful. what should i do?!?!?

what is the significance of a black swallowtail butterfly in anime?

It is in the theme song to xxxHolic as well as the first page of Bleach manga. So it has to be important. I think it may have to do with rebirth, and the black means darkness, lonliness, empty, ghost. What do you think?
