What can I feed a captive cabbage white butterfly who cannot fly?

I have tried to give him blueberry juice on a napkin and sugar water on a napkin is this correct? He has been unable to fly living in our grass for over a week, i took him inside today and am trying to feed him any suggestions?

Now I’m not one hundred precent sure, but when I was in primary school they kept a buterfly to teach us about its life cycle. I belive they gave it sugary water. They soaked a sponge in it and the butterfly helped itself! Good luck.

Cut a piece of sponge, and decorate it with coloured paper, so it looks like a flower.

Then the butterfly will feel more attracted to it.

Use a strong sugar water solution.

If its not flying, it wont be to interested in eating, its main goal is to reproduce, its only going to live another few days, less if its not feeding.

Only the cabbage white caterpillars eat cabbage leaves but for butterflies you could put it on a flower to drink nectar.
